چکیده
Here, we present the in-plane energy absorption characteristics of modified re-entrant auxetic honeycombs realized via fused filament fabrication in conjunction with parametric analysis and geometry optimization. The influence interaction effects geometrical parameters such as strut-length ratio joint-angles on stiffness, strength were evaluated. Subsequently, Finite Element results obtained using ABAQUS/Explicit corroborated measured data. Deformation mode, stress-strain response behavior an optimal honeycomb studied compared conventional structure. Modified structure reveals 36% improvement specific capacity. Our further indicates that due to introduction more nodes low rotational failure strain has increased resulting improved

Spatio-Temporal Proximity Characteristics in 3D -Printing via Multi-Photon Absorption
One of the major challenges in high-resolution μ-printing is the cross-talk between features written in close proximity—the proximity effect. This effect prevents, e.g., gratings with periods below a few hundred nanometers. Surprisingly, the dependence of this effect on space and time has not thoroughly been investigated. Here, we present a spatial-light-modulator based method to dynamically me...
متن کاملMechanical Properties of Auxetic Cellular Material Consisting of Re-Entrant Hexagonal Honeycombs
A preliminary study of the mechanical properties of auxetic cellular material consisting of re-entrant hexagonal honeycombs is presented. For different scales of the honeycombs, the finite element method (FEM) and experimental models are used to perform a parametric analysis on the effects of the Poisson's ratio (cell angle) and the relative density (cell thickness) of honeycombs on bearing cap...
متن کاملStructure, Properties, and In Vitro Behavior of Heat-Treated Calcium Sulfate Scaffolds Fabricated by 3D Printing
The ability of inkjet-based 3D printing (3DP) to fabricate biocompatible ceramics has made it one of the most favorable techniques to generate bone tissue engineering (BTE) scaffolds. Calcium sulfates exhibit various beneficial characteristics, and they can be used as a promising biomaterial in BTE. However, low mechanical performance caused by the brittle character of ceramic materials is the ...
متن کاملTwin plane re-entrant mechanism for catalytic nanowire growth.
A twin-plane based nanowire growth mechanism is established using Au catalyzed Ge nanowire growth as a model system. Video-rate lattice-resolved environmental transmission electron microscopy shows a convex, V-shaped liquid catalyst-nanowire growth interface for a ⟨112⟩ growth direction that is composed of two Ge {111} planes that meet at a twin boundary. Unlike bulk crystals, the nanowire geom...
متن کاملTime – strain monitoring system fabricated via offset lithographic printing Time – strain monitoring system fabricated via offset lithographic printing
This paper reports progress in the development of strain sensors fabricated using the Conductive Lithographic Film (CLF) printing process. Strain sensitive structures printed via an unmodified offset lithographic printing press using a silver loaded conductive ink have been deposited concurrently with circuit interconnect, to form an electronic smart packaging system. A system populated with SM...
